The Horowitz Reading Room is an independent, unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by Anthony Horowitz, his representatives, publishers, broadcasters or the owners of the literary properties discussed here.

Names, titles and trademarks

Anthony Horowitz, Alex Rider, Sherlock Holmes, James Bond, series names, book titles and publisher marks are used only to identify and discuss the relevant works. Any trademarks and all underlying literary rights remain with their respective owners. No ownership or official status is claimed.

Images currently used

No third-party cover artwork or author photography is currently reproduced. The home page uses two original, AI-assisted editorial illustrations created specifically for this independent fan site: Mystery Reading Room and Casebook Still Life. Their generic library, detective and spy motifs do not reproduce published jackets, identifiable characters or protected franchise artwork. The shelves, spines, Reading Room mark and cover-like panels are also original interface elements.

Cover programme status

All 95 catalogue entries currently use clearly labelled, original fan-site catalogue artwork rather than publisher jackets. The label appears on book pages and quick-view panels; shelf spines carry the Reading Room fan mark. Publisher covers will only enter the catalogue after permission or a suitable licence is documented together with the exact edition, rights-holder and required credit.

Rule before a future cover is added

  1. Establish permission or a suitable licence.Note the rights-holder and the permitted context.
  2. Credit the exact edition.Name the publisher, imprint, illustrator or designer where the source supplies them.
  3. Use only what is necessary.Prefer a publisher-provided promotional asset and never remove a credit or rights notice.
  4. Remove on request.Once a working corrections/contact destination exists, rights enquiries will use that route.
